We offer designer dress hire NZ wide, from the top of the North Island to the bottom of the South.

Unfortunately we can’t provide a refund if the dress doesn't fit the way you’d hoped, BUT, this situation is pretty rare thanks to our detailed product descriptions. You also have the option of trying the item on before you rent (click here for info) or for $25 you can add a backup item to your order. A backup gives you total peace of mind that you’ve got another option, just in case the first doesn't quite fit.
Our stock images closely resemble what the garment looks like in person, and if there’s any colour variation due to lighting/filters we’ll note this in the description. You can always look at third-party sites for other images of the garment or check out our Instagram (@RabbitBorrows) to see our pieces in action. We’re also more than happy to send you some close up images/videos of the fabric — flick us an email (hello@rabbitborrows.com) or send us a DM on Instagram.
Don’t stress, these things happen! Text +642108831142 if it’s urgent (i.e. if your rental is coming up soon) and if your order hasn’t already been processed and packed, we’re happy to amend it. If you’ve made an error to an order a few weeks/months away, you can email us instead (hello@rabbitborrows.com).

Yes! We know our dresses are beautiful but they look even better when you’re rocking a whole look that makes you feel confident. Send us a quick DM on Instagram and we’ll come back to you with some free advice for complementary colours, jewellery and accessories.

The sizing description should tell whether the garment is true to size or runs on the smaller/larger side, but your safest bet is to add a backup option for just $25. Crisis averted!
Absolutely - you can either book an in-person try-on at our HQ in Auckland or we can send you a garment via post to try on. Learn more here.
We deliver garments via NZ Post using their overnight courier. All orders booked before 12pm (for orders that weekend) will be dispatched the same day. After your event, simply pop your garment in the prepaid postage bag and drop it into your local NZ Post shop.
No, your parcel doesn't need a signature. If you would prefer to sign for it, please email us & we can arrange (for an additional $3 fee).
On the delivery date before 5pm at the latest.
We’ll send you the tracking details via email once we’ve processed it, so you can track its progress. If you want to arrange pickup from the depot or have further questions on your parcel’s whereabouts, please call Courier Post directly on 0800 COURIER (it’s way faster than going through us!).
Delays are pretty rare, but they can happen - and if you booked at least one week in advance of the delivery date, you’re eligible for a refund via store credit. If your garment doesn’t arrive on time and you booked less than one week in advance of the delivery date, you won’t be eligible for a refund.
Yes, you can pick up and drop off from our HQ in One Tree Hill, Auckland. Once you’ve made an order please email us to confirm a pickup time. We need at least 24 hours notice for pickups. For urgent same-day pickups please text us on +642108831142 and we’ll figure out a plan.
You’ll find a prepaid postage bag inside your parcel. Simply place the garment into the prepaid bag and drop it off at your nearest NZ Post shop. Please make sure you hand it over the counter (yes, to an actual human!) so they can scan the package. Do not pop it in a street post box, as these aren’t cleared daily. Depending where you live, you could alternatively book an NZ Post pickup. See if this is available for your address here.
Before 3pm on the next business day following your rental date.
You’ll get a late fee of $30 per day (or part thereof). Late returns impact our shipping schedules, and the last thing we want is for another Borrower to miss out on wearing their dream dress.
Please don’t attempt to fix it yourself, simply send it back to us on the return date (late returns will incur late fees) and give us a heads up. We have an experienced tailor who will assess the damage and fix the garment — and then we’ll invoice you the cost. If the damage is beyond repair you’ll be liable for 150% of the garment’s RRP.
If you’ve purchased damage protection with your order, however, you’ll be covered for any repairs/cleaning to a maximum cost of $200NZD per item.
As above — please don’t attempt to clean it yourself, we have an experienced drycleaner who will assess the garment and clean it for us. If you don’t have damage protection, you’ll be liable to cover this cost.
